Teddy was nominated for Best Director category, and will compete with other talented directors such as Sono Sion from Japan (Guilty of Romance), Tsui Hark from Hong Kong (The Flying Swords of Dragon Gate), Wei Te-sheng of Taiwan (Warriors of the Rainbow) , and Zhang Yimou through "The Flowers of War '.
One more incoming director Asghar Farhandi categories are from Iran through his film 'Nader and Simin, A Separation'. The film recently won the Best Foreign Language Film at the 2012 Golden Globe event beat Angelina Jolie film 'In The Land Of Blood And Honey'.
Donny Damara who plays the main character in 'Lovely Man' was nominated for Best Actor category, and will compete with Andy Lau through the film 'A Simple Life'. Donny acting as male transsexual in the movie was filmed Teddy Soeriaatmadja a thumbs-up from the audience while playing at the Q Film Festival in Jakarta some time ago.
